What's the riding like around Wynyard, Tasmania?

My 13 year old started doing Junior Enduros this year in the Queensland Off Road Championships (QORC), and in 2022 we're looking at him doing a couple of Australian (AORC) rounds too.

He was entered for two AORC rounds this year (QMP and Kyogle) but various border closures put and end to the National Series after only the first round in Victoria.

For 2022 the Final AORC Round is in Tasmania, around the Wynyard area on the 8-9 October.

While travelling to Tasmania from Queensland would normally be a LITTLE to far to go for a weekends racing for him, I'm toying with the idea of combining it with an extra few days in Tassie and visiting my Relatives down there.  Haven't seen most of them since Josh was 6 months old, back in 2008.

So what's the riding like around Wynyard?  Is it sandy?  Rocky?  Hilly?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
