Getting new crank seals and rebuilding the clutch. The adjuster on the clutch housing, steel ball and push rod were friction welded together!

It must have been adjusted incorrectly (too much pressure eon each other) and maybe combined with a lack of gearbox oil.

I've never seen one fuse. 

You do find some odd things on these old beauties.

I did remember to take a picture of the clutch cam before welding it up. The whole clutch was messed up!

Clutch basket was filed down as recommended. Did put the kit on to lengthen the pull arm. I can almost pull the clutch in with my pinky! That's with 15% stronger clutch springs. Crank seals were replaced, were in real bad shape! Carb needs a bit of tuning. Think I'll take it off and take it back to stock settings to adjust from there. Came home tonight from work to give it a go from stone cold. Two priming kicks two starting kicks, it runs!!
